Tang Ying Attends “Grounding Global China” International Academic Conference

On December 9, local time, Director-General Tang Ying was invited to attend the “Grounding Global China” international academic conference hosted by the Center for Contemporary China Studies at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and delivered the opening address.

Tang Ying elaborated on the development journey and global contributions of contemporary China from three perspectives: the origins of “China: a member of the global community”, its actions, and its progress. The discussion focused on the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, the Belt and Road Initiative, and three major global initiatives.

Nearly 100 experts and scholars from over 20 countries, including China, the UK, the US, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Botswana, and Peru, engaged in exchanges and in-depth discussions on topics such as global governance, South-South cooperation, ecological civilization, and language and culture.
